Woo-hoo! It happened! Rage Against The Machine's "Killing In The Name" is the official 2009 UK Christmas number one! Pity poor Joe McWhasisface for this is the best chance he'll ever have of a number one - what are the odds he is dropped by this time next year?

A Rage Against the Machine Christmas No 1 would be a great pop moment, The Guardian reckons. Metal Hammer and Kerrang! are obviously game.
