Blood Of The Bull

Blood Of The Bull is the musical outlet of Hilary VanScoy, better known as the lead guitarist in the amazing Divorce. While they exist in the same alt-rock ballpark, don't expect them to sound like each other. Where Divorce are brutal and complex, BotB is more direct and emotionally compelling.

They have a free download EP available at the moment on the ever excellent Winning Sperm Party, which we highly recommend you check out, as it's really good. There's also new releases available from Monoganon and The Ballad Of Mable Wong among others, so get a-clickin'.

Thrush for the 'Mo

Ultimate Thrush have been booked to play Optimo, which makes us smile an awful lot, as we've been pushing them into everyone's CD players for as long as possible. We love them. The Steinberg principle hate them. Optimo have booked them.

That is this Sunday. These guys incite moshpits among electro-clash hipsters. They crucified Jackson. They made a 10 track album that is ten minutes long.
Download it from Winning Sperm Party here
They are going to utterly kill it. And I will be the one in the middle of the pit, detonating full force. When Den Haan play, men get naked, when Ultimate Thrush play, girls do THIS:

The DIY festival

The Ultimate Thrush
Before we went to Germany, there was a festival in Glasgow celebrating DIY culture. We thought it might be nice if someone could record the music being performed, so we went along and did it ourselves.
The lovely folks over at Winning Sperm Party have put one of the recordings up, and here it is.

We've played some on our radio show, and intend to put some more about the place, so keep yr eyes and ears peeled.

Which is nice.

They also have a blog, which I should read more.
