Outspoken and intellectually stimulating boozehound Christopher Hitchens has died, aged 62.

    This is great. I didn't always agree with him though; he could be a terribly arrogant bully and was a latter-day apologist for American imperialism which seemed rather at odds with his statements on religion at times.

    I agree.
    His support of american imperialism seemed to come from a rather strange place of 'we are just better' that hitch never really explained to my satisfaction.

    Still, he made life more interesting.
